Announcing: The Moqui Forum!

I recently discovered that there were other people like me who think that Moqui is awesome. I wanted to meet more people who are into moqui and make it easier to communicate so I got forum.moqui.org up and running. I think that the Moqui Forum is a significant improvement over Google Groups, and I hope that you think so too.

The Moqui Forum is a forum for Moqui developers, enthusiasts, every day users, or anyone else to discuss anything Moqui. It is the place to ask questions and discuss: how to complete a business process in a Moqui application, how to start developing with moqui, problems that you have with moqui, and anything else.

If you just have a minute, go over to forum.moqui.org, create an account, and say hello!

Thank you Michael for setting up and hosting this. I think this Discourse server will be a big improvement over Google Groups, especially for common interactions like discussions and support.

When Michael approached me about this I looked into Discourse a bit and it has some nice functionality for community collaboration. It is nice that it is a private server on a sub-domain under moqui.org, and independent of Google for those who have issues accessing the current mailing lists.

I'm hoping people will try it out and after a while if it seems to be an improvement then I'll propose to the Moqui Board that we switch from Google Groups to a private Discourse server. Note that Michael is hosting this server on his AWS account, and the backups are posted to my AWS account (the one that runs moqui.org). At some point we may change that.
