Hello everyone,

I have a problem at the configure procedure when I managed to install moose on the HCP cluster . Since the cluster could not connect to the Internet, I had to download all the packages needed manually. Then I set "--download-package={my download directory}". Almost all the packages could be compiled successfully except for the SUPERLU_DIST package.  The printed massage is "Configuring SUPERLU_DIST with cmake, this may take several minutes". However, there was no further movement after half an hour wait.  What happened?

     Thanks for your help!

There are metis and parmetis in your environment, and these packages may not be compatible with superlu_dist.

Could you remove these packages from the environment, and blow away PETSC_ARCH/, and try again?

Thanks,

Fande,

Thanks, Fande.

I removed the packages. However, the same problem. It seems that  "Configuring SUPERLU_DIST"  does not work. There is no error message in the configure.log file.

Am I missing something?

We did not get a stack back this time.

Let us ping PETSc guys.

Thanks,

Hi Fande,

I have figured the problem out by updating the python version. Now my python version is 3.6.5.  An older one may causes

bugs when configuring SUPERLU_DIST.

   Thanks.
