Installation of MOOSE on CentOS

Hi everyone,

I discover your community thanks to Thomas Poulet and I thank it for this beautiful development!... I intend now to install MOOSE (and later REDBACK, with Thomas) on our server, running LINUX CentOS. I see that this Linux distribution is not supported for MOOSE - is there nevertheless a (new) possibility to install MOOSE on CentOS, or is it definitely impossible?... I'm sorry to begin with such a question!...

Welcome to the community!

MOOSE works on a variety of Linux systems, we only supply pre-built binaries for a few distributions though. For you installation you'll want to follow our cluster setup instructions. It should go fairly smoothly for you:

If you're not on a cluster the manual Linux instructions might be simpler to use:

Hi guys,

Although we are directly in contact with Jean-Luc and we have transferred the information, let me just make available our experience, for anyone who might want to install MOOSE and REDBACK on CentOS clusters. One of our students has wrapped up the process of setting up our CentOS cluster here in Sydney (called "Leonardi") here:

The installer should be easily used across CentOS platforms (in theory ;-) ).
