Change of laptop

Hi,

I'm having problems with week _ exercise _.

I am changing my laptop. Do I need to export from the present installation of TMC netbeans my exercises or once installed on the new laptop I will download the exercises from the server and my progress will be saved?

I haven't tried this but I'd assume it will work, with your new laptop, install Java(JDK), and tmc-beans normally. Login to tmc and let it download all the exercises available for the course.

Then somehow copy all the tmc-exercises from your old laptop to your new laptop, and just copy and replace those over the exercises which you had just downloaded. Thus the tmc-netbeans internal database should understand where the exercises are, and detect all the exercises you have.

Let me know if you run into any issues and how it goes.

many thanks for the reply. Where can I find in my laptop the tmc-exercises? are they somewhere in the tmc-beans directory?

Oh, right. You can check where tmc-beans downloads the exercises from TMC-> Settings. It's probably NetBeansProjects folder in your home directory.

Hi Jarmo!

This worked like a charm. The TMC downloaded I guess only those I have not finished yet and then I copied the once I have backed up form my old laptop. Then I did update again and now I see all of them in the netbeans.
