Hey Friends, for the last 6+ months, we have been one of the teams involved in the
Resilient by Design Bay Area Challenge, it's one of those big fancy design
challenges that permaculture usually never shows up in. Well, this time we did and not only did we show up strong, we pretty much crushed it
with an unconventional design approach... yeah we did permaculture.
Instead of "business as usual" design, coming from the top down by designers and developers, we decided to let the community lead and do
their own design for their place. We held a training and showed them how to do it, then let them show the world their magic. They created their
own People's Plan: a plan that is BY the people and FOR the people.
Then we made a movie about it, a move about what happens when you apply permaculture ethics and principles to civic planning. Check it out here:

This is where we need YOUR help! There are 2 things you can do.
1. We have had our heads down working on this and as such, we haven't had as much time to try and fill our upcoming permaculture class in
Oakland that starts on June 20th. We could use your help spreading the word to your networks and help us fill this transformative training. We
are working every day to help make the Bay Area and the whole world a more abundant place to live through permaculture, help us spread the work out,
we need more allies and these permaculture trainings build our community of activists.
Please consider signing up and/or sending this to someone who you think might be interested:

Don't forget, we have a lifetime membership policy and nobody has ever been turned away due to lack of ability to pay. Let's transform
the world together.
2. Got to
https://peoplesplan.upisf.com/ watch the movie and sign up for the email list, send it to your friends, spread the word. We want to
help people make their own civic development plans in EVERY community across the Bay Area and beyond. We can do this.

P.S. I made that movie and if you think you have an idea for a video project related to permaculture, environmental justice or anything badass, lemme
know.
