Hard reset of xml-maven-plugin

Hi folks,

Somewhat embarrassingly I had a bunch of problems doing my first release today.  Long story short there are a bunch of maven-release-plugin commits and rollbacks in GitHub which might be worth hard resetting as they are just noise.  On the other hand, someone may already be using those commits (unlikely).  What should I do?
