Hi All!

I wanted to ask if anyone knows if you are able to simulate turbulent flow with the CLN package or has any knowledge in any existing documentation that would show how it is implemented? From the current published report online it states that the CLN package is unable to simulate turbulent flow but we have seen conflicting academic papers stating that they have implemented the manning's equation within the CLN package.

Thanks everyone and have a great weekend!

Hi Philip,
It is possible to simulate turbulent flow within the CLN structures by modifying the IFLIN option in the CLN package, with several alternatives (IFLIN=4 uses manning's equation) :

Several MODFLOW USG packages are explained in the attached file written by Sorab Panday,

I hope this helps you,

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks so much for letting me know. Does anyone who uses GMS know if this executable would be their "USG Transport" executable for models and not their regular modflow usg executable. I believe their current version is 1.8.
