Hi,

I am a last year student from Hogeschool Gent in Belgium at the section 'applied computer science'.
For my thesis I have to do research about Data synchronization with iOS apps.

As a fact, I am convinced Couchbase Lite is the right solution for my thesis, hence my proof of concept has to be able to work offline, and the data must be synced with the 3 platforms (Windows Phone, Android, iOS).
Is it possible to get some best practices for my proof of concept or some other useful information for my thesis?

Thank you very much in advance.

Maxime

Hello, you may want to consider Xamarin as the UI with CBL/Couchbase/Sync Gateway as the DB. But he last time I looked at this combination CBL did not properly support a PCL, which is required if you want to include it in the new Xamarin Forms type projects, and that was really a shame. Hopefully this has changed since then. Good luck!

I suggest reading through the sample apps, for whichever platform you’re most comfortable with. (ToDoLite is probably the best first choice.) After that, if you have some more specific questions we’ll be glad to give advice.
