The entire mobile team at Couchbase is incredibly excited and relieved to announce that OMG! VERSION 1.0 IS FINALLY READY!!!
  • Couchbase Lite for iOS (and Mac OS X)
  • Couchbase Lite for Android
  • Couchbase Lite for pure Java
  • Couchbase Lite plug-ins for PhoneGap/Cordova and MonoTouch
  • Couchbase Sync Gateway
There is also a beta release of Couchbase Lite for .NET.

The all-new home page and developer portal, with updated documentation, is http://developer.couchbase.com/mobile/

(If you prefer source code, the Github repositories have “release/1.0.0” branches pointing to the GA revisions.)

Big thanks to everyone in the community who submitted bug reports or patches, built apps on top of our code, or just gave feedback. This work has been going on for a long time — it’s a month short of my 3rd anniversary at Couchbase, and JChris was getting the ball rolling even before that — and it feels great to finally have this milestone ready. Couchbase will be putting some marketing muscle behind the mobile products, and it’ll be exciting to see what happens next.

This is not the end, of course. We know there are bugs, as there are in any 1.0 release, and things to improve, and new goodies to add. We’ll be supporting the codebase with maintenance and feature releases as time goes on. But for now, enjoy 1.0!

Congrats to everyone who's worked on Couchbase Mobile -- especially you, JChris, Traun, Andy, and Wayne!

Forging a breakthrough technology is difficult.  Making it available to the world is a tremendous achievement.

Couchbase Mobile has already enabled us to do things we couldn't do before.  Thanks for all your help and advice.

I can't wait to see what happens next!

Hi Jens
Congratulations to you all!
Are you planning to update the cocoa pod to version 1.0?

James

We don’t directly support the podspec; it’s maintained by David Quon. He’s been active on this list in the past, so hopefully he’ll see this.

Just for informational purposes here's the link for the CBL CocoaPods specs:

Nice there is now a bot to keep these up to date.  Keep up the good work.  :+1:

Should the podspec be updated to version 1.1 by now?

What about the listener?

Not until we actually release 1.1.

Also, please don’t reply to old threads. It’s confusing.

The current version on couchbase site of couchbase Lite and Couchbase Sync Gateway is 1.0.4, I am so confused what different between 1.0.4 and 1.0?

Congrats to you guys! Awesome software! :)

But the downloads in the site still shows an old version (CouchbaseLite 1.0.4, March 5, 2015)

1.0.4 is the fourth incremental release after 1.0.
1.1 is a larger-scope release with some new capabilities.
We’re (mostly) following Semantic Versioning. http://semver.org/

1.0.4 is still the current version. 1.1 has not gone final yet. Wait a few more days.

The reason this email is titled "Re: HOLY FREAKING COW, IT'S DONE” is because someone replied to the year-old thread announcing the 1.0 release. :-p

Everyone: PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO OLD THREADS. IT’S REALLY CONFUSING.
