Persona-iOS gmail login issue

Hello everyone! 

We chose to use Mozilla persona in our web & iOS app (uses CouchDB & CBL) and after a good browse I found out that the original repo here is untouched for over a year. It also has an open issue/pull request of Gmail login. And then, I found https://github.com/couchbaselabs/browserid-ios (I remembered CouchChat demo app) which had fixes for Gmail login by Jens. I'm using it and it works great with email ID's from our different domains & identity provider Yahoo except with a Gmail ID. If Gmail login ID is used, no errors show up and the screen stays blank. 

The repo has not activity from past 8 months so, I thought of dropping a post here. This Gmail issue is holding us back :( 

I'm hoping for a fix or any suggestions, please.

Have you asked on Mozilla’s Persona mailing list?

You could try debugging the problem yourself. I’m not an expert on Persona either, and I haven’t been in that code in a long time so it would take me a while to get started. And I’m way too busy on other stuff at the moment.
