SIP-INVITE reply with CANCEL

Hi guys,

Hope all is well. I need to implement this flow in my app.

[I receive SIP-INVITE]

THEN

[I reply with SIP-RESPONSE-CANCEL]

Could anyone show me source or example to create a CANCEL response from or within the Invite event ?

I just actually read the question, one cannot CANCEL a received INVITE. Only one that has been sent.

So what are u trying to achieve here?

Hi,

According to my supervisor, he show me a flow whereby we receive INVITE and we supposed to reply with CANCEL.....

As you said earlier it's not possible, but is there anyway i can reply to INVITE request with something similar to CANCEL ?

According https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3261, any final response in th3 4xx,5xx,6xx range will do.

The ones that most comes to mind are: 410, 480, 486 and 487
