I'm a new Mnemosyne user with a few questions. I want to apologize in advance if these questions are obvious... Just haven't been able to figure them out for myself as of yet.

1. Is there any way to open and use separate decks as opposed to only having one large collective. For example, if I were to want to study mechanical vocabulary in one deck, could I then switch to a completely separate containing business vocabulary. Is that currently a possibility and if so, how would I do that?

2. Is there a way to reverse the faces of your cards without having to switch them in Word or Excel then reload them into Mnemosyne?  For example, foreign word on front and English on back, to English on front to foreign word on back.

Thanks

Chris

Hi,

1. It is possible (but not recommended) to use separate decks. The recommended way is to use tags and subsets instead. You can read more about this here:
http://mnemosyne-proj.org/help/organizing-cards

2. Yes, you can change the card type from "Front-to-back only" to "Front-to-back and back-to-front" as described here:
http://mnemosyne-proj.org/help/card-types

And here is the documentation of Mnemosyne:
http://mnemosyne-proj.org/help/index.php

Cheers,
Chris
