Here is my workaround ( I use it ).  It takes 5 seconds to skip the card.

Pre-requisite: you have to TAG cards you want to review ( or cards scheduled for today ); easy task.
          Process:
1. Create a BLANK card; tag it '0-skip'  ( the Zero is to keep it on the top of tags tree ).
2. Click EDIT;  drag the card (it will be done just once ) down - to HIDE the Answer.
3. When you encounter a 'stubborn' card and want to skip it,
click EDIT;  the Answer is hidden; add the Tag '0-skip'.
4. Hit enter (pointer must be in the Tags field ) once.

Card will disappear from review screen;  you can review it at the end of the session or during the next day review or at your convenience.

Caviat: the tag 0-skip MUST be 'added'  to the Tree AHEAD of time - otherwise the process will fail.

Works like a charm for me :-)

Enjoy it.

Sorry for the typo:
Step 3 should say ".... REPLACE or modify the existing tag to match the tag '0-skip.
    Example:
if you have a tag A::B ( and want to preserve it) , create ( ahead of Review ) a temporary card tagged 0-A::B ;  during Review, if you want to skip the card tagged A::B, change the tag to 0-A::B.
I do not preserve my tags but Replace them with 0-skip.
