Hello,

I have a problem for a few days, it seems that it is an SQL error with a card containing the character string "DLC", I have the impression that it is "reserved word" that one cannot use. And that messes up. It pisses me off because I've been using this database for over 4 years, and I'm afraid it will mess around. I have attached the error message. I love the project, know that Mnemosyne has changed my life. Thank you to those who can help me. I'm lost.

Hi,

I'm afraid that that is the kind of error message you get when e.g. your drive is dying and you get corrupted files.

I would suggest restoring from a backup which does not show the problem:

You could also try repairing the database using an external tool, but there is no guarantee this will work...

Kind regards,

Peter

Good evening. Thank you for these recommendations. I have already tried using an older backup that I had copied, but after some days the same problem started again. Regarding the disk, I used the database on several hard disks, on a USB flash drive, etc. I think it has nothing to do with the hardware but it's just the database, which is corrupted. As this is the only option I have for the moment, I will try the tool you have indicated, and we'll see ... Thank you sir.

UPDATE :

Well, I tried to repair the base with several tools, but nothing worked. So I found some sort of workaround, I simply isolated the problematic card in a group (with a tag/label) and deactivated the group in question. The card is inactive and it seems that I no longer have an error message. for now it works fine. There you go. As I could read it on (I do not remember which) forum, I had to close the software while it was being written in the database I think.
