When deactivating cards not having certain tags.
Say say for example I have a card with tags 'Group 1' and 'Disabled cards'. Can I then have the card not beeing shown because it has the 'Disabled cards'tag. While the other cards with 'Group 1' tags are beeing displayed as normal at the same time?

Hi,

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean, but either

- all cards are active apart from those with a forbidden tag

or,

-  only cards with an allowed tag are active

All cards are active apart from those with a forbidden tag.
Say I have some cards that have the tag "Card set". Then I want to disable one card in that group.

Then you should give that one card an extra tag, e.g. 'disabled', and make that tag forbidden.

But if I change the selection in the (De)-activate dialog from "having any of theese tags" to "not having any of these tags" the selection does not change.
I havent specified anyting in the "not having any of these tags" selection before.

Here's what I did for testing:

- create a new database, add a card with tag 'a'. There's now one card active.
- In (De)activate cards, I put 'not having any of these tags' and then selected the tag 'a'.  As expected, there are now no more cards active.

Hope this clarifies how this feature works.

Cheers,

Peter

That's currently not possible.

That's not necessarily true. However, if you have tags like 'set1' and 'set2', and if you want to activate only 'set1' and not 'set2', and if you want to deactivate one card with tag 'forbidden' in 'set1', then that's not possible in a straightforward way, because you either have allowed tags or forbidden tags, but not a combination of the two. Still, you can achieve the same effect by giving your cards in 'set2' the tag 'forbidden' as well.

I was able to get the functionallity by the way you mentioned Peter. But to be honest I find it somewhat inconvinient because having to reselect all of my tags.
Personally I would like the functionality to be "having any of theese tags" AND HIDE IF "not having any of these tags".

However I think I may have found a workaround. If I change the card I want to hide to 'forbidden::set 1', I can hide the card pretty quickly and still keep the tags.
