Double tag bug

Hi. 

I have mnemosyne on two computers, and use the sync mechanism.  I started a new category on my server by adding cards to that category, and then I added cards to the new category on my client before I had a chance to sync with the server. In effect I created a new category on both client and server.  

The tag is repeated only once in the browse cards dialogue list over tags.

When i add a new card I have a category named "NAME, NAME" (ie. the tag is repeated twice) in the dropdown menu. In addition the tag is listed twice by itself. When I add a card to that category, all indications are that the card is added, but it seems to be quietly dropped.  I can't find the card in the card browser - even when viewing all cards and sorting by most recently created.

Adding to other categories seem to work.

I am just looking at my client at the moment, and will check the server a bit later, but I imagine that the problem is the same there.

I’ll put this on my TODO list, but for the time being, I guess you can work around this by deleting these tags, syncing, adding the tag again on 1 machine only, and syncing.

I agree that it is an interesting case :-)  I will try your fix. Hope I will be able to do rectify the problem without losing the cards I have added to this category.

An update after checking out the server.  Seems like the same problem happens there, but the newly added cards on my client that was invisible there is available on the server. New cards added to the category on the server in invisible, just like on the client.

Deleting the wrong tag(s) and adding another tag to the card seems to be doing the trick so far.
