Failing to load GTK theme

My Mnemosyne application does not load the GTK theme applied to my system (by lxappearance), using instead a default Adawaita theme. Any ideias on how to fix this?

I'm using it on i3wm without any desktop environment. Mnmemosyne version 2.10, built from source.
