Hi,

I've just tested the new Android Mnemosyne.apk RC1 and noticed that a
sync with the server on my desktop forces opening of the default
database.

My actual database is located elsewhere, but when I press sync button in
the Android client, the server opens the empty default.db.

I'm running Mnemosyne 2.3.1 on FreeBSD.

Cheers

Yes, the Android client only syncs with default.db. I'm currently working a option in the desktop client to merge databases.

If you only have a single database, simply rename it and the media folder.

OK, it worked. Thanks for a very nice Android client.

I have a little suggestion about the status bar, which at the moment looks something like this:

Sch.: 111 Not mem.: 22 Act.: 3333

I think it would look cleaner without so many dots ;)

Sch: 111 | Not mem: 22 | Act: 3333

... or something similar.

BTW Is there any way to set font size independently from the desktop client? It would be very useful to set font size independently to better fit differences in display sizes.

Hi Marek,

At the moment, it's not possible to set fonts independently from the desktop client.

The statusbar is also exactly the same as in the desktop client :-)

Cheers,

Sorry, I was not explicit enough about what I meant ;)

I think that visually a dot and a colon together (.:) don't look too
good in this case. It's perhaps because all words in the string are
very short (abbreviations) and there are quite many those dot-colon
couples. As a result, the whole status bar seem to be full of dots ;)

The vertical lines (|) could better separate different fields.

To be more similar to the desktop client, you could consider
right-aligning the bar in the mobile client.

I really like the interface, because it's very neat and uncluttered.
But this is also the reason, why the status bar is actually quite
exposed.

Hope that's somehow useful.

Thanks for the great program!

Cheers
Marek
