Hello.
My computer will not allow Mnemosyne to install, because the downloader "Sourceforge" is unknown to my system. I can download the installer but that's all.
Any solution ?
Thanks.

Keep to an earlier version of Mac OS that does run essential software like Mnemosysne. OS 10.9 is reported to be better than usual about compatibility, but it is risky to change too soon. You could report it on Apple support blogs: better than waiting too patiently.

I solved this problem by going into the Security tab in my System Settings. There was a dialog there that allowed me to bypass this protection.

I asked about this on TidBits and here are the first two replies for background to the problem:

Yes, this is Gatekeeper which was introduced in OS X 10.8 (and added to OS X 10.7). Software developers cryptographically sign...

Lots of legitimate code won't be signed, especially open source software from a site like Sourceforge......

When you get the "in trusted developer" dialog, you can also right click the app and do Open and then acknowledge the security warning.
