Easiest way to reset a subset of cards with long repetition times?

What is the easiest way to 're-activate' cards with a very long (> 5 yrs) repetition time?

I have a list of about 1500 items, one third of which has received a very long repetition time (during a previous import/update I think).

Although these cards are probably not the difficult ones, I would like to see them now and then (meaning in a span shorter than x years).

Maybe I did not understand the question, but has such a long repetition
time been 'earned' (i.e. via numerous, correct answers during a long span
of time)?
If it is so, I would not worry. If, on the contrary, that happened
because of other reasons, I would tinker with my Mnemosyne database
(something.db): it's in Sqlite format and there is a conspicuous 'cards'
table.

This assumes you are feeling adventurous, make sure to backup your
deck before attempting anything!

Don't tinker with the sql, it will mess up the sync protocol...
