Hello

I am a pilot, and I use Repetitions to memorise technical details and procedures.

I was using Repetitions 2.2.1, and did not update when offered, because I have previously lost entire databases (I now have about 1,000 questions).

I recently had windows wiped and reloaded to my computer. I'm running Windows 7, although previously it may have been Windows 8.

I reinstalled Repetitions 2.2.1 from the web. But, when I open Repetitions, the programme does not "see" my databases (I have about 8 .srs files in a folder - when I try to Open from that folder, there is nothing there).

Can you help, please?

I like the system, but it's no good to me if the database cannot be transferred. I cannot spend the time typing all those questions + answers into the programme yet again (this has happened before).

I would happily pay for a system that was reliable and simply "did what it says on the tin", btw.

Thank you if you take the time to respond in simple terms. I understand aeroplanes, but I do not understand computing much, so I need simple, detailed guidance if you would be so kind, please...

Thank you

Linton

Hi,

The database is a *.db file, typically in a directory like c:/users/linton/appdata/roaming/mnemosyne.

But you said you had your computer wiped? Could it be that this erased all of Mnemosyne's data? Do you have a backup?

Cheers,

Peter
