Mac OSX 10.9.5 issues

App won't open, my hardware won't allow me to upgrade to any new version of OSX. (So annoying, I dont even understand why apple does this. my first mac, second hand laptop).

Wondering if there is a fix?

If Apple does not allow you to upgrade your OS, you can always try with older versions of Mnemosyne:

You might consider running a recent version of Linux virtualized - VirtualBox maybe?  Good Luck!

Ended up watching a youtube tutorial how to upgrade to the new macos on my unsopported hardware and it works great, a guy has some patches. (Dont know if thats supposed to be a proper solution, but it worked!)
