   Hi, all.

 Rev. 2.2.1  has a paragraph
"   *.txt   text file can now contain a FOURTH column ......mapped to the Note field".
   I am doubly puzzled:
1. What is a "Column" in a *.txt  file ?
2. And what goes into a Third 'column' ?
I searched PDF Manual, the "What's new' site,  and the Forum - found nothing.

Thank you.

Vit

P.S.      ------ more unorthodox details on how I would use these tags:
It is not simply my curiousity - I would like to Add the Tabs to the *.txt Vocabulary file.
One might say, "It is easy to do in Browser". It is, but it'd be Much more work to sort thru the words whereas in *.txt file they are one-after-another, in one place.
These Tabs will have the Second function: they are  quasy Links between Synonyms, Related words, and Similar words.  All cards with these words would have the Same tag. When I see (in Browser) more then ONE tag ( in cards activated for review Today ), I'd skip it (easy workaround) and schedule it 'x'  days forward ( easy workaround ).

Hi, you can't import tags other than specify the tag on import. You'll have to devide the .txt into several txt's in that case. You may also vote for this idea to make importing more flexible: http://mnemosyne.uservoice.com/forums/164265-general/suggestions/2920631-more-flexible-txt-based-import-card-type-tags-

By column it means some text followed by a tab character. For example: question<tab character>answer. When adding three columns or more mnemosyne will import it as a vocal card. So the fields are, in the order: word, pronantion, meaning and notes.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, Gnome for  a comprehensive explanation.

I wish any Power User, like you, could update the Manual.

Have a good day.
