This is a clean installation of Mnemosyne on a new comuter but when I start Mnemosyne I get the error message: "Could not create D:Documents/Spanish/default.d_media". Have uninstalled Mnemosyne (via Settings>>Apps) and restarted computer but still getting the same message.

Any ideas?

Hi,

This means that either you started Mnemosyne with -d <directory> to specify a data directory which no longer exists, or, more likely, that it reads the last opened database location from a config file you copied over, and that that location no longer is valid on your new machine.

If you run the latest version of Mnemosyne, after the error message you should be able to simply browse to the correct location of the database and open it.

Alternatively, you can also look for all 'config.db's you find in a Mnemosyne folder, and delete those (don't forget removable devices like USB keys).

Cheers,

Peter
