New 2.4 is not even starting

I uninstalled 2.3.6 using Remove Programs in Windows.

I downloaded 2.4 and used the set program.  There were no error messages.

Mnemosyne is located in Programs (x86), but nothing happens when I click on "Mnemosyne.exe"

Any ideas what I should do?

Hi,

 

If there are no errors displayed, it will be very tricky for me to debug. One thing I can recommend to try is after the uninstall, making sure the Programs (x86)\Mnemosyne is completely deleted, so that there are no leftover files interfering anymore.

Sorry, I am not sure how to help you.  I have removed 2.3.6 and deleted the Program (x86)\Mnemosyne folder.   I went into Trash and deleted it there too.

I installed 2.4, but nothing happens afterwards when I click on the shortcut or the exe file.

For what it is worth, I can reinstall 2.3.6 and it seems to work fine.

Then I'm afraid it will be quasi impossible for me to figure out what's going on. Hopefully when I upgrade the libraries for the next release, this helps...
