Hi, I don't have an launchpad account. I suppose it's OK to post bug reports here? Here we go:
When importing cards with (supposedly) missing media files, Mnemosyne auto-adds tag MISSING_MEDIA, and changes the "src" attribute of the tag to "src_missing"; one bug and one feature request WRT this:
- Bug: When the media filename contains "'", and the "src" specified in the card URI-encodes it to "%27", Mnemosyne falsely reports MISSING_MEDIA. Editing the card by replacing "%27" to "'" in the "src" attribute still results in MISSING_MEDIA. Likewise, there probably is a similar bug when checking for unused media. When checking media presence, Mnemosyne should request the media as a URI, not as a file path. - Feature request: Add option to disable MISSING_MEDIA check completely. I personally dislike the s/src/src_missing/ magic a lot.

Hi,
In all likelihood, this is a relic of Mnemosyne 1.x not storing
filenames in a way that is independent of your OS file system
encoding. Since there are many different encodings possible, it is not
possible for Mnemosyne 2.x to guess the correct one, so I'm afraid the
best option is just to rename the file manually.
As for src_missing, that mechanism is needed for the sync mechanism to
pick up that you fixed your media. So I'm afraid it's not going away,
otherwise I would get a lot of bug reports about media files not
wanting to sync.
