Hey Peter,

A few comments about Beta 5...

-Mnemosyne now remembers my window sizes. Thanks for that!

-"Edit card" has different keyboard shortcuts depending on where you are in the program: Ctrl/E while doing reviews, Enter in the Browse cards window. Any reason for the difference? In Mnemosyne 1 it was Ctrl/E everywhere.

-I sure miss the Ctrl/P shortcut for Preview card (in the Add Cards and Browse Cards windows).

-The window stretching for large pictures is cool. The window stretches the same regardless of picture size, right? It's a little weird having the window stretch before the card answer is displayed.

-While making new cards, what's the keyboard shortcut for "Yet to learn"? Ctrl/0 and Ctrl/1 don't work anymore.

-In the Browse cards window, either Backspace or Delete functions as a delete card shortcut. While reviewing cards, Backspace works but the Delete key doesn't.

-I get an error when I click Tip of the Day (see image, attached).

-Love the "Saved sets" option in Activate Cards window. Needs an option to delete unwanted sets, though.

-Who's designing our Mnemosyne 2 picture icon? I miss that little critter :-)

Great work Peter! Thanks again.....

Thanks for the feedback!

You're welcome!

Done, although Enter will still continue to work.

Good point (might be a bit tricky for the add cards, though)

Yes.

You're right. I should be able to change this in the next beta.

Right now it's control+enter, but I'll get the other ones to work as well.

Another good one.

Known bug, will be fixed in next beta

Right click on the set name.

We still have the same icon. Do you have some problems with the icon not being
displayed?

Thanks!

Hi Peter,

-A little more on keyboard shortcuts. In the Edit card window: if I click the Alt key, the O of OK, the P of Preview and X of Exit all appear underlined. Alt/P previews the card and Alt/X exits the card window. Alt/O does nothing. In the Add card window: if I click Alt, the Y of Yet to Learn, P of Preview and X of Exit appear underlined. Alt/P and Alt/X work as before, but Alt/Y does nothing.

We still have the same icon. Do you have some problems with the icon not being
displayed?

-I see the critter in the upper left corner while using the program. The icon and tray icon are not coming out on my version of Windows 7, though (see picture).

-When you're finished your reviews for the day and going through your Not Memorized cards: if you delete a card, you reset the card order. Eg. You've done your reviews for the day. You review 3 cards and grade them all 1 or 0. Your next card should be a different Not Memorized card. If you delete a card (either while reviewing, or in the Browse Cards window) you will see the same three cards again, even though you have just seen them. Mnemosyne 1.x had this behavior, too.

Thanks!

Ok, I'll add these to my todo list.

I cannot reproduce this on XP. Does everyone on W7 see this?

Not exactly sure I get what you mean. If after deleting a card, you only have
2 cards left to memorise, Mnemosyne will keep on showing you these 2 cards,
and indeed, by necessity, there will be very little time between subsequent
showings of a card.

Cheers,

Peter

The icon is not showing for me on Windows 7 either.

Peter:  Ok, I'll add these to my todo list.

Clicking the TAB, then Spacebar,  saves New card as "Yet to learn".
I thought I'd share my findings with other users; this post seems appropriate to use.

Looking forward to the next Beta.

Thank you, Peter, for your program and the kind ways you help 'desperate'  users.

Good day.
