Android second sync failed

Hi guys,

As the title says I'm having problems with syncing my android device to my laptop. This is the second sync and I wanted the laptop to update itself with the cards i've completed on my phone but the message I receive on the laptop when syncing is: "Sync failed, restoring from backup. The next sync will need to be a new sync." And the error message on the phone says: "Sync cycle detected. Sync through intermediate partner". 

I'd like to note the first sync I did with was done on a different laptop with the same database but added flashcards. The second sync I want to do and that display the error message contains the un-updated flashcards and contains a backlog of flashcards.

Any help is appreciated for this problem. For now I've synced it with my old laptop which I did for the first sync. I know I can simply copy the database from that laptop and put it over the other but it's tedious and there has to be a better way.

Hi,

If you have 3 devices involved, you should always sync with the same device.

If you change your mind about which device that should be, delete the database on the client (provided the server has the version you want to keep) and resync.
