Hi Peter
I recently switch to mac. Ages ago I decided I want to go for ogg files rather then mp3. Apparently once I'm on mac mnemosyne does not play any file attached to a cart.
Could you please briefly explain how the sound system does work on mac. Is it python or rather mplayer maybe. I hope it will help me to find out what is missing on my desktop.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Tomasz

Hi,

Contrary to windows, on Mac it's not mplayer, but the standard Qt sound system, and I assume there is an issue with missing ogg libraries.

Unfortunately, Patrick, our Mac packager is running into all sorts of issues with packaging the later releases of Mnemosyne, so I'm not sure this is easily fixable for him...

Cheers,

Peter

Yes, I'm sorry to say I don't know anything about the specifics of implementing Ogg, but if you look into this and find a way to make it work, please share your method.

Best,
Patrick
