Mnemosyne 2.3.1 released

http://mnemosyne-proj.org/download-mnemosyne.php

(Note that for Windows users we recommend uninstalling the previous version
before installing the new one.)

-Change database backend for config file. There should be no more errors
which cause you to delete the config file.
-Don't import cherrypy if not using the sync server (workaround for mimetype
bug in non-unicode systems) (reported by Steven Lee, Pete Kovalenko).
-Don't give spurious warning about different tags in different sister cards
when creating new clozes when editing a card (reported by Scott Youngman).
-Fixed some issues with tabbing to buttons in a dialog not selecting the
right
button (reported by Scott Youngman).

Hi,

So I upgraded to mnemosyne 2.3 but mnemsyne doesn't work anymore. So I'm wondering if it's possible to go back to the previous version ?

Much better to tell me what problems you get, and fixing them :-)

Is there likely to be an installer available soon for Mac OS X Yosemite?

Thanks.

Hi,

A one click installer has hit some technical problems, but on the download page there are now instructions on how to install from source.

Cheers,

Hi,

I am attempting to install version 2.3.1 on my mac (OS X 10.9.5) but am running into some problems. I am a bit of a beginner, so I apologize in advance for my ignorance. My macports also seems to be up to date (version 2.3.3), but I get the following errors when I attempt to follow your installation instructions:

1. I have downloaded the linux file, unpacked it and moved to the directory where it is unpacked. However, when I run "sudo make osx" I get the error "make: *** No rule to make target `osx'. Stop."

2. The README file that comes with the linux distribution has separate instructions for installing on mac. When I follow those instructions and enter the command "sudo python setup.py install", it seems to copy/compile many files and doesn't give and error (though I do get the warning "UserWarning: Unknown distribution option: 'windows'"). However, after doing this, the command "menemosyne" is still not found.

Do you have any advice?

Regards,
Andrew
