Alter Vocabulary cards to display Pronunciation (front) / Meaning (back)

By default cards of type Vocabulary display:

Phrase (on front) / 
Pronunciation + Meaning (on back)

I would like all Vocabulary cards to instead display:

Pronunciation (on front) /
Meaning (on back)

I am working with Japanese flashcards and I don't care about the Phrase part (in kanji) yet. However I do care about being able to match spoken words to meanings.

Is there a setting or plugin that can alter the display format? I couldn't find anything obvious in the documentation or menus.
