Today i tried opening Mnemosyne as usual but got error message :(

I looked for help in the forum and saw the recommendation to delete the config file. I deleted it and then it opened again with the default database file. When I changed it to my backed up database it worked well, but after closing and trying to reopen I got a new error note:

An unexpected error has occurred.
Please forward the following info to the developers:

I was using version 2.3. I uninstalled and installed V2.3.3 but it behaves the same.

I really need your help in overcoming this issue since the software is not usable now and I really need it...

Thanks in advance, Hadas

Hi,

I wanted to update that I solved the problem by copying my database file to C:\Users\niv\Application Data\Mnemosyne and changing its name to default (instead of the original default). I don't know what's the reason for this problem but now everything is working.

Thanks for this great SW, Niv

Hi,

(Sorry for the late reply, I've been travelling)

What seems to have happened is that for some reason the file permissions have changed. Glad it's working now.

Cheers,

Peter
