USSS-TC:

Hi Sarah,

I hope you are doing well! My name is Rana and I am reaching out to MN ACS Chapter for potential funding of our USSS-TC symposium. The NOBCChE chapter at UMN hosted this event last year and we are planning for it again this upcoming year in April of 2026.

Last year, the MN ACS Chapter helped sponsor this event and Sal who was in contact with you provided me with your email. I am wondering if this something that MN ACS would still consider to fund and how to move forward in that process.

Thank you!

UMN Computational Chemistry Conferences:

Dear Sarah,

I am reaching out on behalf of several faculty members at UMN who are hosting three different computational and theoretical chemistry focused conferences at UMN Twin Cities this upcoming summer:

56th Midwest Theoretical Chemistry Conference

35th Midwest Thermodynamics and Statistical Mechanics Conference

23rd Midwest Undergraduate Computational Chemistry Consortium Summer Conference

These conferences have a long history and will be a great opportunity to showcase and build community across chemical theory in the Midwest, as well as recruit future students to Minnesota. I also attached a flyer summarizing the key details of the three conferences.

We were wondering if there was the possibility of sponsorship from the Minnesota ACS section and what this process would entail. I think this could also be a great opportunity to get computational and theoretical chemists from all career stages to get involved in the local section.

Please let me know if this is possible. I would be happy to provide a more formal letter to the section as well.

Good morning! I've started a google doc agenda for Wednesday's budget meeting. Please add any items to officer reports that may be relevant.
