Data upload in Web based MIS and training of MIS experts of PIAs under MKSP on 19th May

Dear  MKSP Partners,

You are aware that  a web based MIS   was under development and the  software was  field tested recently in Odisha on 28-30 April.  

Now it has been decided to  start uploading  data  in the web.

In order to facilitate this process  a one day training  is being organised on 19th May  for the MIS point persons of PIAs in ORMAS/OLM office at Bhubaneswar. It is therefore requested to depute your MIS expert along with project data (Excel/paper etc) and a laptop for the above training wherein Mahila Kisan data can be uploaded in the MIS.

You can contact Ms Neelima Mishra ,YP,ORMAS  for more details in this regard.

As directed by NMMU , the training program for the Central MIS  - for uploading of 500 MK data per PIA is scheduled to be held on 19th May at ORMAS Conference Hall.

As per earlier mails by CSM, it is requested that each PIA depute a MIS expert for the training along with a laptop for hands-on training on how to use the application.

Each PIA is also requested to kindly fill up the attached excel sheet and send it by today evening, as the fields are required prior to the training.

Kindly let know in case of any issues/concerns.

Dear Jha,

Thanks for your mail about the upcoming MIS training.We confirm our participation. However, we have the following concerns.

Subsequent to Ranchi workshop, all the PIAs were advised to develop their own web based monitoring system( without any fund support from the project). Accordingly, we used our own fund and   engaged RAPRA Solutions to the develop the same as it was made a pre-condition for release of 2nd installment.

So, what would now happen to the web based MIS developed by respective PIAs? Should we discontinue it or there is a possibility of  aligning our web based MIS with the proposed new MIS?

Again, as you are aware, we are yet to receive our 2nd installment and it is already 10 months now during which the project staff and the CRPs and PRPs have not been getting their honorarium.So, the entire project team, CRPs and PRPs  are quite demotivated.Again,  we are  a consortium of NGOs implementing this project and after this training we need to train the MIS staff of all partner NGOs which is a time consuming process. The proposed management of MIS has also implication of resources and time.

In view of all these, we are not very sure whether we would be able to  upload 500  Mahila Kisan data by 31st May as indicated by you. However, we would try our best

I am confused regarding the web based MIS which is to be tested / implemented in due course. What will happen to individual PIA wise web based software which is designed to do the same work for the MK? We have already invested on our individual software development.Is it possible to manage both the database simultaneously?

These are few concerns which need to be clarified during the training session on 20th.

As per the MKSP terms and conditions every PIA need to have a web based MIS. Many PIAs who earlier did not have the web based MIS have developed the MIS for MKSP to comply with this condition. 

At the same time we would like to compile the data at our end so that we have state and national level MIS. Dear Sir,

All the required documents along with the request letter have been submitted to MoRD through the Odisha Livelihood Mission in March 2015 for releasing the 2nd installment for the MKSP project but so far no fund has been released either from center or from the state . We are now not even in a position to pay the honorarium to the CRPs and the Para professionals. The forthcoming Kharif season is very important for us as the project progress and achievement lies on this Kharif. Now the income generation activities/livelihood programs are going on for the producer groups, SHGs and the Mahila Kisans. We won't progress as per the action plan made and won't achieve our target if the fund is not released in right time . last two months we could able to manage project expenditure through taking loan from other project head but now it's not possible for us to take more as other project work will be hampered. 

It is my kind request to do the necessary at your end to release the fund as early as possible so that the project implementation is continued without any disruption.

Dear Jha Sir,

We had sent the village and concerned pancahyat list on 29th for uploading in the MIS by CSMPL. Until and unless the village list is uploaded in the MIS the other data won't be loaded as both are linked. 

We were ready with the all the required data along with photos of 500 Mahila Kisans and we could have completed it by 30th as per per our fixed target date but not happened . In this regard contacted Mr. Satyabrata from CSMSPL and have told him until and unless the village list is uploaded we won't go to the next step and cannot upload the other data of Mhaila Kisans.

If you tell us, we can send all the required data in the excel list along with the photos which can be uploaded by the CSMPL.

Dear Satya,

We have filled in the required data in the excel sheet format given by you but when we tried to upload it in the MIS application it shows that this is not valid excel format. Please check this problem and let us know about it. 

We also found that the villages  under the Kenduguda panchayat of Boipariguda block have not been uploaded in the MIS format so we are not able to proceed further .
