Hello main developers,
I want to ask you why you stopped the Mitro development. It would be nice to know if Twitter acquired Mitro (http://techcrunch.com/2014/07/31/twitter-mitro/) or just the staff.
You were developing Mitro in your free time, I suppose, so why did you stop now? It seems you don't care anymore about it. Am I right? Did you lost faith in the cause? Is Twitter developing something similar?

Thanks

PS: I ask this because I want to know if I'll lose time contributing in this project :P

Mitro was a start up, not a "free time" project. Based on the fact it did not stay a startup, one would assume that they could not acquire the needed user base, or sales channel, or whatever other piece of a startup you need to make it a viable endeavor. This is not unusual.

Now that the developers are at twitter their mitro time is indeed all spare/volunteer.

If twitter is developing something similar, due to NDA/secrecy they won't be able to say anyway.

As to the question would you get bored, only you can know that. I'd encourage you to work on mitro.

Bri more or less has it exactly right. See my other email for additional details.

PS. Sorry for the late reply: Mitro email tends to get prioritized after my work and personal life email, so it tends to get dealt with only once every couple days.

Evan
