Dear Miniscope team,
I'm wondering if the following picture and the ones published on your github/website are copyrighted and what are the conditions (e.g. citation) to use them in a publication?

Also, do you have any preferences for citing the miniscope v4 (paper,website...)?

Thanks in advance and have a nice day,
Brice.

Hi Brice,
The images on Github are not copyrighted. You can feel free to use them in a publication. We are currently working on a V4 manuscript but it isn't out yet so for the time being most people cite one of these 2 papers:
  • Cai, D., Aharoni, D., Shuman, T. et al. A shared neural ensemble links distinct contextual memories encoded close in time. Nature 534, 115–118 (2016). https://doi.org/10.1038/nature17955
  •  Shuman, T., Aharoni, D., Cai, D.J. et al. Breakdown of spatial coding and interneuron synchronization in epileptic mice. Nat Neurosci 23, 229–238 (2020). https://doi.org/10.1038/s41593-019-0559-0
I am going to ask Federico from my group to post a few nicer renders of the V4 Miniscope here and have him also put them up on Github. Feel free to use any of them.

Hi Daniel, hi Federico,
that's great! Thanks a lot for your quick reply, your reactivity and the nice renderings. I will use them (and ref) in my publication.

Looking forward to read your v4 manuscript,
Have a nice week,
Brice
