Hi there,

Chrome Browser - latest build
Windows 10 - latest build
G Suite for small groups
Mindmup Gold

Using the paid version of Mindmup for a month now I cannot get the sharing option to work. Anytime, with any mindmap I've made I get the same message after clicking the Share button in the right upperhand button.

I've searched for other support items, but can't find a resolution.

The files are stored on a shared G suite drive with a small team. Those member can see these files, but if I want to start a collaboration session it does not work.
Sharing other files (G Docs etc) is not a problem.

Regards,
Raymond

Hi Raymond,

If you're getting the 'sharing blocked' message, this is most likely caused by third party cookies being blocked in chrome, or some kind of content blocker (ad blocker or privacy blocker) mistakenly preventing Google Drive's share dialog from loading. If you're using any such blockers, you may need to whitelist google drive widgets for that to work.

Alternatively, you can always share Google Drive files directly from the google drive web interface (https://drive.google.com). As the sharing widgets then load from the same source as the main page, no third-party restrictions will be imposed by the browser.

As a Gold user, you'll get much faster support if you contact gold-s...@mindmup.com directly next time. If none of these ideas solve the problem, can you please send a screenshot of the message you're getting to that e-mail and someone will help you resolve the issue?

I am not sure if the message I am getting is pointing to a "sharing blocked" situation.
The message is in Dutch and merely states that sharing is not possible at the moment. "Try again later". It does not explain why whatsoever.
I will look into your suggestions.

In the future I will address to the faster e-mail support. But no complaints about this pace of reacting ;-)
In all we are very satisfied about the functionality.

Regards,
Raymond

Hi,

I assume that's the same message that I've seen in English when third-party cookies are blocked. For some reason, recent Chrome versions seem to block google's own widgets when used from third party sites, you may need to whitelist accounts.google.com in the cookies to make it work.

I changed the settings in Chrome to allow third party websites (i.c. mindmup) to acces cookies. Now it works, i can share the mindmaps. But i don't want to allow any thirdparty website to do this. Is there a way to only allow mindmup to acces cookies?

Hi,

That's really a question for chrome support, I don't know. However, if you want to keep that blocked, just remember to share the maps directly from the drive web interface (https://drive.google.com), or create a shared folder and then save the maps there -- they will be shared automatically. that way, you can keep cookies blocked.
