Happy June

Hi Darling,

It is the last day of June, and it has been a different June this year. I waited until now to write to you for good reason. I have been running words through my head to you most of the month. So here they are.

On June 4 I made a lunch date for June 7 with a friend. I realized soon after what I had done and said to your dad, "I can't go!" He thought for a moment and said, "Maybe you should." The next day was our meeting at our home for Umbrella Ministry, a ministry I co-chair to help mothers who have lost a child. Of course I shared my dilemma with my moms and one asked what I was going to do throughout the month. I said I was going to look back at my journal when you were in the hospital and I guess go though it all again. They helped me to realize I should let go of the dates that permeate the month and enjoy the happiness we had with you. All those wonderful memories. They made me promise I would not cancel. So I went to lunch on the 7th and I was just fine. Then I got busy and on the 21st I was horrified that I had forgotten the 20th. I guess you knew that because a couple days later the picture of Katie, Peter, Sophia, Finley and Charlotte on my phone was replaced with yours. I think you did it. I have no other explanation. I didn't do it. But it worked, Honey! I thought about you all day on the 27th.

So now every time I turn my phone on, there you are, smiling at me, and I smile back. I know where you are. I know what you are doing, and I love you for it. 

I love you and I miss you so so so much, as you used to say to me,
