Query values with OSC from Ardour?

Hi!

I would like to implement smart control for Ardour, and for that I would
need to read some values from Ardour with OSC. Based on replies,
different OSC commands would be send.

Mididings has possibility to sen OSC messages, but but what about query
of stuff with OSC?

Hi,

If I understand your question the is no way to do this.

About OSC Mididings can send OSC messages and we can control Mididings via OSC for some commands.

Otherwise, Mididings does not provide any events on receiving OSC messages from other systems. It knows only it's messages.

Yeah, point would be sending OSC message, and collect OSC response, get strings there.

Ok and with Ardour's response what do you want Mididings to do?

Basic idea would be query plugins in channel, and then send values to
correct plugin. Plugins are indexed by numbers, but I am interested to
send values to some plugins.
