Tangent Bald Eagle roost

Hi everyone, I checked out the Tangent roost again this evening. There were 55 BAEAs at the roost, and two more at the large nest in the line of cottonwoods along the powerline just west of Country Road: one in the nest and one nearby.

A lot of lambs have been born since my last visit 9 days ago and they were gamboling in an absolutely adorable little pack. One BAEA was perched in a tree not far from one of the fields, perhaps waiting for an unattended lamb or another placenta, as there were still a number of gravid-looking sheep.

Thanks Mary for the update. I travel Hwy 99E from SE Albany to Halsey every day and this is the first season in 2 years that I am seeing many Bald Eagles in the trees morning and afternoon.

Thanks Mary and Delores,

As of today, two adult Bald Eagles were standing in the nest on the east side of Adair Village (visible at long range, from the south part of E.E. Wilson Wildlife Area).

So at least locally, some eagles might be shifting into nesting mode.
