MS Money Malfunction

For some reason, the "Bills" screen will not let me create a recurring deposit. What am I doing wrong?

PS. I LOVE MS Money -- the most underrated financial software of time.

Bills screen reflects recurring transactions that have already been created.   Go to Account register screen, and select transaction you want to be recurring, right-click on it, and you will see the option.

It works for me in Money Sunset.  From the Bills Summary screen, choose New-> Deposit, enter the required fields and it worked.  Need more information to understand your issue.

Hi Ameridan,

I was not clear about what my problem is. The program will not let me create a deposit at all in the Bills screen. In addition, the payment method drop down only has one choice “write check”. Any ideas?

First, which version of Money do you have?

If you go to the Tools menu and go to Bills Settings, does the box suggest switching from Essential to Advanced Bills?

If so, switch to Advanced.
