Hi Kevin,I just read the content of the link you sent and it appears that the process for the name selection has already been set up and started. In my opinion, the brand name and the logo should be selected/designed together since one has to reflect the other one.I think we can come up with ideas for new names for Java EE but beyond that, I'm not sure we can take over the EE4J-related brand name process already started by Wayne Beaton. Could we?In the meantime, I have included this as an agenda topic for the MicroProfile Marketing call for this coming Friday, November 17, 2017. Please attend if you can. Thanks,Cesar

Hi,
As some of you may now, we just initiated the process for creating a new brand for Java EE in the Eclipse ecosystem. Since many of you on this channel are much more creative than the rest of us, I thought that I would pass on this opportunity...

I know this is a bit off topic from MicroProfile marketing, but we're kind of connected at the hip with Java EE and the eventual replacement at Eclipse. The right brand for EE4J can only help our cause at MicroProfile.
Thanks, Kevin

Sorry, you misread my post, Cesar... The process is as it is with Eclipse. I'm not trying to do an end-around with the process already defined.
I was just asking for some of the creative, marketing genius of this group to help come up with a brand name for EE4J. If you have some good ideas, please post them to the issue.
I am off Thursday and Friday of this week, as well as next week. Sorry.
Thanks,
Kevin
