Anyone using ironic-hardware-inventory-recorder-image?

Hi all,

I've noticed that $subj hasn't seen any changes for a while, and the build is currently broken [1]. Is anyone even using it? Should we maybe deprecate it?

Hi Dmitry!

This appears to be a handy little utility to have around. Perhaps the broken build can be treated as a 'per-need basis' thing to be done, and nothing of high priority, allowing us to continue with our work? 

I can imagine a use of this repo in the future, but since we haven't seen active work on it for almost a year, perhaps leave it to the person wanting to use it to fix that build? I don't feel like there's a need to deprecate it. Or maybe somebody else can have a better idea?

Hi,

https://github.com/metal3-io/ironic-hardware-inventory-recorder-image/pull/10 actually fixes the build, so we can keep it around if you find it useful.

Somebody should keep an eye on it though, care about Stream migration, etc.
