Finally the team of memento database has implemented this (in my opinion) very useful function: "Ability to insert an image into the image field by URL".

Through this update, the bookstore data space can be managed intelligently. The images are usually the elements that occupy the most memory on the disc and considerably weighted the library.

My necessity would therefore be to fully exploit the synergies between memento database and Google Drive to keep the images cataloged and storage only through the cloud.

The problem is that Google Drive does not directly generate permalink that reach the specific JPG file.

To do this you can use a permalink capture service like this: https://sites.google.com/site/gdocs2irect/

In this way I can get a clean link that gives me back an image that I can fully manage from the cloud.

In my specific case, I manage thousands of images (receipts, products, screenshots); Converting the URL every time to load the image is very expensive.

I thought about the use of a trigger that made a call to the service insertion (active on https://sites.google.com/site/gdocs2direct/) to convert the value inserted in the URL field in the link thus generated a file Image loaded in a Google Drive folder can be easily connected to a mere item.

Can someone help me? It would also be an opportunity to better deepen the JavaScript code for the trigger.
Spero che la mia esposizione sia comprensibile!

Thank you very much.

Hallo
Ich verstehen nicht was du genau mit den Trigger machen willst . Die URL in ein Feld schreiben und die URL kennt dan das Bild . Ist das immer die Selbe URL oder ändert sich ein Teil

Hi
I don't understand what exactly you want to do with the trigger. Write the URL in a field and the URL then knows the image. Is it always the same URL or does a part change.

Ernst, it's not so simple.
This link:
is an image URL (try it) and Memento does not recognize it as an image URL.

Does Memento run javascript when loading links? If it did, that could be security risk.

Try opening the link in a browser with javascript off. No image is loaded.

Maybe you could get help from zefiro.me where they might have a way to link to the file without javascript, something like this maybe:

Hallo
Nein das geht auch nicht . Könnte eine Sperre von Memento sein . Die Bilder von Memento selber sind auch so gespeichert :

Hi No, that's not possible either. Could be a ban from Memento. The images of Memento itself are also stored like this:
