Hi guys, I'm having a bit of trouble with the "time field" when syncing between my computer and the app on my phone.

I don't understand why "Time Field" on PC Memento Software is always 1 hour behind "Time Field" on mobile app.

For example, when I enter "Time Field" on my PC Memento Software  as "10 PM", it shows the "time field" on my phone App as "11 PM".
When I enter data into "Time Field" on the Phone Memento App is "10 PM", the time on PC Memento Software is displayed as "9 PM".

The data of "Time Field" on phone and PC is not the same.

Can someone help me to solve this problem? Thank you very much.

Sounds like the time on your laptop settings is different then time on your mobile device?  Check time settings on your devices.  For example, my laptop is a couple of seconds off from my phone.

Also, you say one hour?  By any chance is your computer adjusting for daylight saving time?

Yes, Beth's right. Here's what guidelines I can think of...

Platforms & editions
As of today, Memento supports 2 editions across 5 platforms, though the 5th one may still be in Beta. They are...

Editions
  1. The mobile edition
    1. Android platform (a Google OS)
As of Android 12, you enter Settings by pulling down from the top edge of the screen to get the settings & notifications pull-down, and then tap the gear-shaped Settings icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. You might want to adjust Location on this pull-down, but the main thing is to tap the magnifying glass icon and then tap the Date and time button, then the Date and time section button. Set Automatic date and time to the On position. Also, set Automatic time zone to the On position. I don't have mine set, since I don't travel much any more, but you might want to set Set time zone based on location to On.
    2. iOS platform (an Apple OS, Memento in Beta on this?)
I don't have an iOS device, so maybe someone else could update this thread with the sequence for setting time and date on iOS.
  2. The desktop edition
    1. Windows platform (a Microsoft OS, currently at version 11)
As of Windows 11 Home or Pro, you enter Settings by either pressing the Windows key (lower-left button that looks like 4 window panes) or clicking the middle button of a 3-button mouse. Then find the gear-shaped Settings button and click on that and then click on Time and language, then Current date and time. Set to your current local date & time. Windows will use regional settings to ensure that Daylight Saving Time (DST) is updated at the appropriate time on the appropriate date. For regional settings, within Time and language, click on Language and region. Under Country or region, choose yours. Also, you might want to adjust the setting for Regional format below.
    2. macOS platform (an Apple OS, currently at version ??)
I don't have a macOS device, so maybe someone else could update this thread with the sequence for setting time and date on macOS.
    3. Linux platform (an open source OS, each distribution at a different ?? version, based on a kernel at some stated ?? version)
I don't have a Linux device, so maybe someone else could update this thread with the sequence for setting time and date on Linux.

Thank you very much for your help, you are so kind !

I have found a way to fix this problem.

I set the "Automatic date and time" and "Automatic time zone" off position on my Samsung Android phone, and switched from GMT time to UTC time mode on the phone. Then the "time field" has been synchronized the same between PC and phone.

Doesn't that cause the time and date to remain static as time moves on?? Don't you want them to move forward as time moves along??

Time is still passing normally on my phone. Here are some photos of the time setting that I set on my samsung galaxy s22 ultra . "UTC offset" is the key to fix the problem.

Ah, yes! I thought you said you had Automatic Date and Time set Off. Never mind.
