I was reminded of Paul Bone recently. He might like to talk about his Plasma language.

Which reminds me that Melbourne is the home of Mercury. One thing I learnt from my limited understanding of Mercury is that it is useful to allow code to run backwards if it is able to do so (e.g. pattern matching and value constructing can  use the same syntax). A talk on Mercury aimed at a functional programming audience would be nice.

Well speaking of the functional/logic programming language Mercury..

Maybe said person feels inspired to talk about what goes on in that particular clubhouse some time..? 😝
