I recently dug my Current Cost EnviR out of the junk drawer and it still works.  Was looking for a way to collect data and stumbled across measuerit.  I have verified that I can read data from it using the GPIO serial port on a PI 2.

Attempted an install from here on github but it was a mess.  I'm on buster and the HarvsG github was pretty old.

Stumbled across this group and thought I'd ask what the preferred more up-to-date install method was in order to get energy monitoring going.  Is measureit the only choice besides do it yourself?

Thanks!

Hi Dan,

if you want to use measureit just download the raspberry image, flash it to a sd card and be happy :)

Ah, glad I asked.  Much easier and it works!  The only thing I had to do was go into the code and change the tty device to use the GPIO.  Last step is to configure an IAM.  Was a little confused on the terminology of sensor, clamp, position but I think I got it worked out.

Thanks!
