Query about MDAnalysis library

Hi All, 

 I am new user for MD, and  I need to do analysis for my MD trajectories files using MDAnalysis library, but i am unable to import MDAnalysis library in Pycharm, also i tried using pip, conda , but it is not working.

 is there anyone who had this same problem? or anyone knows how to solve this issue?

 i am using Python 3.7,

Hi Noman Ali,

Welcome to the MDAnalysis mailing list!

Could you please tell us how you tried installing MDAnalysis? Show all commands and the output.

Then show the commands that indicate that you cannot use MDAnalysis. Again, show all input and output.

 this is all i tried by all methods , even though the pip is already updated , and also conda not working.

Dear Noman Ali,

This error occurs when you don’t have the Build Tools for Visual Studio installed (available at https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/downloads/, in the Tools for Visual Studio section). Could you try installing that and then trying to install MDAnalysis again?
