Gravesend is officially "over the border" in the LOTS area, but I claim historical precedent to include them here.

Granted not quite in the right order, but a nice trio emerged yesterday with 4088, 4089 and 4090, released from mandatory use on the 477, on local services 481, 482 and 483.

The destination display for the 481 is somewhat perplexing, and is presumably left over from a previous revision, as no services currently terminate at Darnley Road from the east. Use of a long vehicle on the 483 is also unexpected (and it seemed not to be tracking), but is currently possible because the road through Swanscombe that causes the restriction is closed for roadworks this week.

4088 and 4089 (482 and 481 respectively) are seen in Gravesend Town Centre, whilst 4090 (483) is seen leaving Bluewater Bus Station.

Well, Gravesend was originally one of those 'border towns' in terms of operators with M&D providing services in eastern Gravesend (east of Denton) and LT in the west. So I guess that only the western part of this town was traditionally considered 'over the border' by this society. And these days it's easier for both LOTS and the MDEK bus club to 'overlap' on coverage and share information.
