Route 69 in Broadstairs

As previously mentioned by Martin, Route 69 has had its route through Broadstairs altered to better serve the Town Center, with the revised route also taking it via Carlton Avenue and Stanley Road, which I captured 15103 LX09FYZ turning into on the 13th.

Good to see a shot taken there - don’t see many of those.

 

I don’t think it’s been mentioned before, but the Sunday before last (7th), the 69s were missing Broadstairs, going back up Ramsgate Road, along Gladstone Road/Osborne Road/St Peter’s Park Road, rejoining the booked route along Beacon Road. I’ve no idea why, as the morning trips each way were not affected, and although there was engineering work by Broadstairs station, no other routes were diverted, so that wasn’t the cause.

The diversion of the 69 on 7th June was for remedial work following a burst water main in Stanley Road, which had also caused the same diversion from 31st May to 2nd June.  Full details are in upcoming Invicta.
